This much larger edition is with photos and commentary of days gone by.

I really appreciate seeing all these recipes (some I had forgotten) that were and still are affordable and many made from homegrown ingredients.Completely agree with Buonpastore's sprinkling of 'The Way It Was' comments like "Homes were cold but people were warmer... Unfortunately he didn't include the pictures from the print version in the Kindle - rare old photos from what looks to be the 1870s or thereabout.It is nice to see someone of my father's generation (Dad was almost 90 when he died a couple of years ago) writing about growing up during the Great Depression.
