2 of 3 people found the following review helpful  This was a really good movie., February 13, 2012 This review is from: Hidalgo (Amazon Instant Video) This movie was exciting and it took you on a long journey--a quality common to many of the good ones, you feel like you've been on a great adventure. It was not a children's movie, if it was I wouldn't have been able to take it, but you could watch it with your kids and not have to worry about it. And I'm by no means a sentimental teary eyed person, but one of the end scenes made me catch my breath and that scene stuck with me even though I saw it about 8 years ago.  Finally rented this movie, and LOVED it, March 20, 2012 This review is from: Hidalgo (Amazon Instant Video) When this first came out in the theater, I really had no desire to see a movie about a horse. I finally rented it from Amazon when nothing else was out, and I'm so glad I did. Mortenson was wonderful, and the story was surprisingly entertaining. I had to close my eyes when animals were injured, but its part of the story. The filming was beautiful, and I would watch this again.
